We had an interesting (quite amazing) time on the Tanami Track. It ended today as we drove off the corrugations at the Great Northern Highway on the way to Halls Creek, our stay for the night. The caravan park allows us to have a shower (feel a bit human again), wash clothes and linen and stock up on necessities (food and drinks). Someone has stolen the Welcome to Western Australia Sign – as a souvenir we suppose and the rubbish on the road was a bit disappointing to see. We had great campsites, the first just north of Rabbit Flat Road House (which no longer exists) and then (south) onto the Canning Stock Route to Stretch Lagoon (on advice from a work colleague).
Campsite near Rabbits Flat Road House (now closed since 2005)
